The Portfolio 3 project with Full Sail exclusively involved audio mixing and mastering processing for recorded vocals, instruments, and mic recordings.
I choose Ariana Grande's "R.E.M." single to remake for my project. My workflow started with logic Pro, in which I recorded a couple of original sounds, along with some vocals, which were used as "Dj drops" for the song. My main mix session was processed with pro tools. I used a couple of side-chain processing for the lead and background vocals. I wanted a 'harder' hit with the kick and bass. I accomplished this with dynamic compression and time-based distortion. High-quality screenshots can be viewed below.
