At a young age, Angelo noticed the many skilled and creative dj’s on the radio, in Baltimore, Maryland. Specifically, 92q jams fm radio. Angelo automatically took interest in the craft of (dj’ing). As time progressed, being an active dj became a reality during the start of his freshman year at grade school (2000’s), in Rhode Island. He soon developed a popular reputation around the New England area, mostly known for his versatility with island music. This was also a reflection of his well-known mixtapes and cds, which were used to market his taste in music, recording, and mixing skills. Dj Ecko was the name given to him during his ‘come up’ throughout high school and his early adult years.  

 

About 20 years later, Angelo relocated to South Florida, then eventually to Tampa, Florida. There were many obstacles and roadblocks for him to overcome, as many others also face. The motivation and drive to self-improve and acquire long-Gevity audio-related skill sets never left his spirit. Around 2020, a decision was made to register and join Full Sail University in pursuit of a degree in audio production. The goal was to become a pro-mix engineer; Angelo ultimately gained much more from his studies and practices. As of 2023, he has 3 studio e.p. mastering credits. IAMDJECKO is the professional alias Angelo uses and is currently still an active event DJ.

 

Aside from producing original music, mixing, and mastering audio and music, Angelo is pursuing career goals and accomplishments within the audio production-related industry. Angelo graduated Valedictorian (2022) for his associates and Valedictorian (2023) for his Bachelor of Science in Audio Production from Full Sail University. In addition, he acquired several certifications through Linkedin’s extended learning assessments. When it’s all said and done, Angelo’s desire is to enhance the quality control for the audio of his clients and personal projects.
